Jackson Welles Crawford, 76, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016 in Medford, Ore. The native Californian but long-time Oregon resident was born in Merced, Calif. and grew up the in San Jose area.He and Jane Thatcher married in Los Gatos, Calif. in 1961. He brought his family to Salem, Ore. in 1966 where he spent his long career as a graphic artist at the Statesman-Journal newspaper and the City of Salem, Community Development.
