Lawrence G. DeChant, 74, passed away May 14, 2017 at his home in Medford, Oregon. Lawrence enlisted in the U.S. Navy right out of high school in North Royalton, Ohio where he was born and raised. He served on both diesel and nuclear submarines until he retired after 10 years of service. In 1970 he married Janice Wicks in San Diego, California where he was stationed.
