Leora C. Guthrie passed away peacefully September 14, 2017, at the age of 81. She was born in Reydon, Oklahoma and moved to Medford, Oregon with her family in 1944 at the age of nine. She grew up in the Griffin Creek area and graduated from Medford High School in 1953. She met her future husband, Lemuel at the Griffin Creek Grange in 1951 at a fall dance.
