March 10, 1923 - November 10, 2017Gerry was born March 10, 1923 in Dwight, Nebraska to George and Bohumila Tomes. She and her two sisters, Regina and Mary Margaret, attended Catholic school and were part of a large extended family of uncles, aunts, and cousins. Her parents moved to Omaha, Nebraska where Gerry attended St. John's Catholic High School.
