Winona Maxine Owen, 94, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 4, 2016 at her home, in Medford, Ore. She was born October 31, 1921 in Ottawa, Kans.At the age of 15, the family moved to California. She graduated from Barstow High School in 1940. Shortly thereafter, she met her future husband, Fred Owen. They married in 1941, and soon afterward, Fred joined the United States Army, serving at various bases around the country. [...]
