Harold August Tiehm passed away October 19, 2015 after a lengthy battle with dementia. Harold was born March 3, 1926 in Goodrich, N.D., the youngest of eight children born to August and Bertha Tiehm.In 1943 he left high school to join the U.S. Navy during WWII, serving in the South Pacific aboard an aricraft carrier as a gunner's mate.
