Former Brookings resident Veda L. Mattson Cloud, 83, passed quietly Monday, March 14, 2016, in Medford, Ore., her daughter at her side.She married Robert Arthur Mattson April 22, 1950. The couple moved to Brookings in 1951 where Robert worked in the mill before starting his own logging business.
